How to get to Courmayeur.
Courmayeur is at the end of the Aosta Valley, at the foot of Mont Blanc, at 1,224 metres: you arrive by motorway (A5 to the last exit) from Turin and Milan, or through the Mont Blanc tunnel from France. There is no railway station: the last one is Pré-Saint-Didier, served only by buses in 2026.

From Turin Caselle
The closest Italian airport: 150 km of A5 motorway to the Courmayeur exit, about 1h45. In the arrivals hall we wait with a sign; skis and suitcases go in the boot and we drop you at the hotel or at the Skyway station.

Malpensa is 220 km and 2h30 away, Linate 230 km. The FlixBus takes about three hours at fixed times; the private transfer leaves when you land and crosses the whole valley without stops.

Until the Ivrea-Aosta railway reopens (progressively from January 2027) no train reaches the Aosta Valley. From Turin Porta Nuova, Porta Susa and Milano Centrale the private transfer is door to door: 1h50 from Turin, 2h30 from Milan.
Milan - Courmayeur transferFrom Geneva and Chamonix
Geneva is the closest airport as the crow flies, but across the border: we work in Italy only. Those landing in Geneva use the FlixBus (3h20, first departures in the afternoon) or a Swiss operator; we take over on the Italian side, for example for the lanes to Turin and Milan.

In Italy, Turin Caselle: 150 km and 1h45. Geneva is closer (105 km) but in Switzerland, and in 2026 the Mont Blanc tunnel has only night closures (22:00-06:00) on some dates between September and December; the next three-month closure is planned for September 2027.
By train and bus
The Pré-Saint-Didier station, 5 km away, is closed in 2026 like the whole Ivrea-Aosta line. Arriva buses link Aosta to Courmayeur about 8 times a day and Pré-Saint-Didier to Courmayeur every 20-30 minutes. From Turin and Milan the Arriva and FlixBus coaches take 3-4 hours.
